Current
Chapter Project located in
Sioux Falls, SD
United States
The first biennial Sioux Falls, South Dakota Affordable Housing competition was open to the greater Sioux Falls area. It was presented by Architecture for Humanity—Sioux Falls and was sponsored by the City of Sioux Falls Community Development Office and Affordable Housing Solutions. This second competition follows the basic format and intends to build on the success of the first. The challenge is to design an affordable, functional, contextual, and Energy Star 2009 attainable small apartment building or mini-house complex. The competition included five to six homes/units and the base project must to be $300,000 or less (including materials and construction costs), no greater than 3,600 total interior square feet, and must be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve Energy Star 2009, with project demonstrating the ability to achieve Energy Star 2012 gaining preference. The competition registration is currently open to those involved in the residential design/building industries in the Greater Sioux Falls Area. For further information see the Competition Brief and Registration Form or contact siouxfalls@architectureforhumanity.org.

Comment by Brian Beilke on December 9, 2012 to December 2012 Meeting Minutes

The chapter is currently without most of its board. Please mark your calendar for the next board meeting on January 9th (in this case, the second Wednesday of the month) - and please help your chapter by helping with one of open board positons.

It's been my priviledge serving as Secretary these past two years.

Thank you all,

Brian

These people deserve some

Comment by UrsulaCorrales on November 19, 2012 to Building Permit Tomorrow!

These people deserve some appreciation from their hard work and effort. Building permits would now be implemented throughout the area and this would give a lot of benefits especially to the bridge builder and other construction firms. Thanks once again.
